The main goal of the project was to communicate the History of Graphic Design, mainly through visual elements. Text throughout the project was not permitted.
It was mandatory to use images from the different eras, and since I settled children as the main public I had to come up with a friendly and simple solution, that would still keep the integrity of the pictures. Paper texture and stop motion were the solution.
Colours and transitions were used to simplify the understanding of chronological course. Sound design was used to enhance the visual storytelling, together with selected music.
This animation was produced by Fábio Barata within the scope of the Visual Storytelling course, part of the Master in Design and Multimedia at the University of Coimbra (Coimbra, Portugal), and under the guidance of Professor Ana Boavida.
