This album identity is a cross-media project I’ve done for a Portuguese rapper, Fresh 85. We started with a photoshoot with Rúben Gameiro and went onwards with the identity. The work features the CD packaging together with all the social media and streaming platforms content. This includes a visualizer to serve as an animated background, an album teaser (video), and a music video for the album intro. The posts on Instagram and Facebook, as well as distribution, were all done by me.
The packaging features a high contrast image of the rapper on the cover together with his handwriting. Inside there is a picture of him as a child.
The visualiser serves as additional layer to the cover. As a cross media project, the same identity should express itself adapting to different media, and taking the most out of each.
The teaser allows us to understand the rapper’s story through his graphic memories. The storytelling is a chronological trip through his life music wise. Finally, it presents the album as the necessary outcome.
The music video tries to follow the guidelines of other parts of the identity. It also features the handwriting of the rapper, for example.
