In this section I present a collection of various posters I’ve done throughout my academic years. I tried to flock a diverse range, with captions explaining the context of each work.
This poster was meant to bring awareness for the refugee crisis back in 2016. The graphics prompt a double meaning. It takes advantages of the similarities between the No Entry sign and the minus sign in mathematics, and it aims for a reversal in mentality by “Turning a minus into a plus”. By making the vertical line brush painted, it also suggests that this change can only be made by the people. On the bottom caption it reads “Over one million people sought refuge in the EU in 2015. Several Member States made it clear that particular migrants were not welcome. No way should be forbidden. For the freedom of movement, turn a minus into a plus.”
This poster was developed within the scope of the Communication Design course, part of the Bachelor in Design and Multimedia at the University of Coimbra (Coimbra, Portugal), and under the guidance of Professors Nuno Coelho and Paul Hardman.

These two posters are part of the Alta e Baixa magazine. They showcase graphic applications of the Ignis Typeface. Ignis Typeface is a modular font, that we designed out of typographic samples collected from the old town heritage of Coimbra. We photographed Typography and shapes, selecting certain parts as modules to create a font.

This work was done for fun. It communicates the schedule of a Christmas Party for a group of friends. The colours and motifs were selected accordingly.

This collection is the result of a generative approach. We implemented a cellular automata algorithm to produce these patterns via Processing. By varying the different parameters, we managed to obtain different outputs. Typographic notes on the side and tops communicate the date, hour and the number of the outputs.

This specific poster was created within the scope of a Letterpress Workshop, I attended last year in Tipografia Damasceno, Coimbra, Portugal. I spent an entire day producing it, from scratch to printing, learning all the different stages of working with letterpress.

This poster was created for Ave Rara, a vintage shop for whose branding design I am responsible. It has been used as a signage poster in flea markets. I used AI tools to generate the illustration.
