CC—D+M (Ciclo de Conversas de Design e Multimedia) is an annual event at DEI, UC, where different keynote speakers come and share knowledge and testimonies within the scope of Design and Multimedia theme.
We designed the event identity by trying to communicate its dynamic spirit and multidisciplinary nature. At the same time, we tried do keep the clean feeling of design self awareness. For that, we came up with a typographic solution, by designing a responsive font. That way no poster would feature the same glyphs, and if possible the font/logo were meant to include movement.
The main goal was to create sort of a voice through typography, meaning, everything we were to write with that font, would automatically remind the viewer of the event, with no need for the logo or its name to be included.
This project was developed within the scope of the Project 1 — Web Identity course, part of the Bachelor in Design and Multimedia at the University of Coimbra (Coimbra, Portugal), and under the guidance of Professors Artur Rebelo and Tiago Martins.
